Who's on their bike today?

With the snow and ice in the South East today, driving in to work with the car along some un-gritted roads led to some some exciting moments - not all of them unintentional :smt084 . I thought for sure there would be no bikes but I counted 1 scooter, 1 MT-01 and 1 Bandit.

The Yamaha Cruiser rider at work even made it in which according to him makes him a 'real' biker and me not. I reckon he is just sour cos the girls of the office like my bike more than his :smt002

Any of you nutters out in these conditions?

Must admit I've admired the hardiness of some scoots recently, although it's is probably their only mode of transport out here in the sticks.
The only reason I'd be out on the untreated sheet ice is if the van or car wouldn't start. :smt001
It does appear to be turning into the only real winter we have had for decades.

We've only a light dusting here .... but it's very slippy

My youngest went off on his scooter this morning and my eldest will probably be off to lectures on his 125 - though I did suggest the bus might be worth considering (but I'm sure he won't)

I'd have been on the bike if it wasn't dead ... but that's not an option ....

No snow here but very VERY cold - I've not been out on the trike in fact I won't go outside at all without my ski jacket and my nice warm fleecy Ridersite beany hat!

Don't mind the cold but I won't ride through the amount of salt that's lying about at the moment.

A couple of years ago I got caught in a light shower on an otherwise sunny crisp winters day whilst riding my immaculte GPz 750.

Despite lots of hot soapy water on my return home, the polished rims turned furry overnight and were never the same again.
