I've been wading through Valentino's autobiography - which my son gave me for Christmas.

This morning I got to a bit where he tells us about the bikes in his garage.

First on the list is an Aprilia RSV :smt003

.... so close to perfection but reassuring to know that even the stars don't get it quite right sometimes.

Vale, just in case you ever drop by and read this, do yourself a favour and put a Falco in your garage (knowing it's there may even help us to appreciate the Yellow ones!).
Don't leave it in the garage too long though ......

Tell you what, if you're not convinced, I'll let you have a go on my Falco ... and I'll have a go on your Yamaha (the M1 will be fine if you're not keen to trust me with the new 800)

Don't worry, you can keep the RSV as well.

He's just gone so far down in my estimation now I don't think I can bring myself to watch Moto GP this year.

I imagine his contract with Yamaha (and Honda when he was there) forbids him to ride on the road, except in controlled events. So what would he do with a Falco :smt102

When Vale lived in London (he may still do) he had a CBR600 for tooling about on supplied by HRC.

Can't imagine Vale not on a bike, however just imagine the traffic light grand prix with Vale lined up amongst half a dozen seasoned London dispatch riders? he wouldn't have stood a chance would he?

He'd have definately been slaughtered by all the seasoned despatchers on their CX500s, possibly caught up with those on sportsbikes and wouldve most probably ended up fighting for 10th with some Pizza Delivery Rider on a C90
