Silver lining
So on Monday we moved into our new house.http://www.domain.com.au/Public/Propert ... 82212&ts=1
It’s great, nice and big and with a decent sized garden, hot tub and pool. The car post is just that and not ideal for the Falco, but there’s a big shed down the end of the garden that’s perfect.
Cloud
Last thing to move was the Falco late at night, tired, rushing. Stopped to close the gate of the rental property and turned round to watch the bike fall over on the right hand side. Must have parked awkwardly on the pavement slopes! (I’ve got a Gixxer stand – poxy Japanese rubbish)
Damage report so far
Snapped off rear brake lever peg (don’t use it anyway so not too bad)
Snapped off front brake lever end (still plenty left though)
Scratched CF Pikfee bellypan (should be able to polish and clear coat it out)
Mirror scratched (got a spare)
Bar end scratched (aftermarkets cheap enough)
The pain in the arse is the bodywork. Mid panel scratched, front fairing scratched and busted out the filler from my previous fall years ago, tail section scratched too.
So I guess I’m going to get the stealth black Falco I’ve been thinking about for a while. With the repayments on the new house I can’t justify a professional paint job, so roll on the rattle cans. Might as well do the spare bodywork I’ve got too.
So who’s got any tips on home spraying!
