I like his view of some things ...but not bikes !

He's just a spoilt brat big girls blouse, scared shitless of bikes and totally useless at riding them.......so he blames the bike!..... :smt011

I think the other two have shamed him into getting a bike licence - there were rumours involving a lost bet and that was the forfeit - and would make an interesting top gear episode.... both may and hammond have full licences....

I notice that in the photo he is wired, so presumably was under instruction....

Well it amused me.... doesn't take much.

Bit on the negative side though - he must have mentioned geting killed about 30 times :smt005

.... and, amazingly, despite the near certainty of death, he survived to tell the tale .....

TBH the repetition of that outcome was probably one of the funniest bits.

That said, I'm not a great fan of him .... certainly nowhere near as great a fan of him as he is !

Great article, just what I needed on a wet dreary morning. :smt003
Enjoyed the comments too.

Liked this bit.
That said, a bike is much cheaper to run than a car. In fact, it takes only half a litre of fuel to get from your house to the scene of your first fatal accident.
Which means that the lifetime cost of running your new bike is just 50p.

Good read and made me smirk.

No reason to dislike a person just 'coz he hates bikes

The only 2 people I loathe more than Clarkson are the director general of the BBC and Gordon Brown.

I doubt they have more than 2 brain cells between theb 3 of them

I find Clarkson consistently amusing even if he's not someone I'd want to spend a weekend in a field with!

I even found myself agreeing with some of what he said!
What I’m trying to say here is that, yes, bikes and cars are both forms of transport, but they have nothing in common. Imagining that you can ride a bike because you can drive a car is like imagining you can swallow-dive off a 90ft cliff because you can play table tennis

Excuse me, but what have a table tennis ball and a swallow in common?

Must admit, I also like the bloke, doesn't matter if he doesn't like bikes, keeps it more exclusive for us that do. In any case there are some complete twats ridiing bikes more recently, who I would not want to be associated with. Fortunately the latter are in the minority and I hope they stay that way. Sad thing is the more popular bikes become the more likely we are to have idiots buying a new Blade/R1 etc. as their first real bike and they have to be able to report to their mates that they have had it flat out in the first week or they'll reckon they're pussies.
You see them on Sunday afternoon blatting off down the straights then wobbling round the first corner at 20mph. Or in extreme cases going straight on at 30mph on a 70mph bend!
