There's a Falco Ohlins shock on ebay, which I'm intending to try and get. Can I ask other's to steer clear if possible? Would be much appreciated.
If it's heading above my limit, I'll let anyone else who's interested know.
Thanks

Now all we need is the seller to ask people to bid on it as there's some bloke desperate to win it....

If there are any members here with standard shocks who don't have that Ohlins "watched" I will eat mine!!
This business of us bidding against each other has been covered before and I don't remember a satisfactory solution being found. Biggest problem is that as soon as you post your interest then the whole viewing public is alerted to the auction. At least if you keep quiet there is a chance that only folks really interested enough to search for one (or anything else for that matter) will fight you for it.
Doesn't necessarily work though......... witness Aladinsane's recent win of Aprilia panniers - I was pushing him all the way !! Well as far as my finances would allow.
Just so you know I have been watching the shock and will be bidding

If you're going to bet on ebay then leave it until the last 3 minutes, this will mean it goes for a sensible price and not some knee jerk reaction cos somebody wants it.
Thi is applicable to all bidders.
I get seriously pissed off when I hear after that they could have bought OEM cheaper.

pssst - even thoug I don't use it - honest guv! , look for ebay sniper software - it may help some of you
and would like to say I am sorry I beat you.. but, tbh - i am not LOL
BUT - decide early on what is your max bid, and stick buy it - but bid late.... that is a good maxim I think
and - re the panniers auction I had offered considerably more on a buy it now proposal.. the seller declined the offer....

Can't stop anyone bidding, but having had the same thing happen on a Baglux tank-bag (unknowingly by a forum member), just declaring my intention with a hope to not driving up the cost for anyone - especially myself

.
If you want to bid Fausto, obviously you're going to, and you're not going to get any complaint from me.
May the best (or richest!) man win!

It was your good self

, spotted your ebay id
Glad it went to a fellow forum member rather than some random person, seemed like a good price too.
I'm not bitter

We might both be- I've asked the seller how much he wants, and I think I'll let the auction run it's course instead. Of course, I think he's just going to yank it from sale anyway

I feel a bit bad now.. not very, just a bit
If I remember correctly I took that cover with a few seconds to go too. Oh well... I'll let you use it for awhile on the Falco 2007 Ride-out

if it helps at all, I bought a bagalux tank cover recently, off a forum member - Now I have an almost complete set of aprilia luggage it may well be surplus to my requirements
pm me - i will sell it for what I paid for it, including postage - colour is silver btw
(Apologies to original seller btw - something occurred that has made it surplus now in all probablility)
