My nice new Renegade Air Kit arrived on Thursday last week but the postie couldn't get it through the letter box so took it to the depot.
I picked it up on Saturday morning and it looks a nice piece of kit.
Question is how do you clean the air filter and what kind of oil do I need to get to recoat it once cleaned?
Now all I need to do is find time to fit it and my progressive springs which I've had for nearly two years

I used to wash mine in Kerosene, then let it drain off then coat in K&N Foam Filter oil, the stuff motocross riders use. Hope that helps.

I might not use a petrol based liquid to clean it incase it disolves the glue it's all held together with.
I used to have a big tub of blue stuff for my crosser that was reuseable, just filtered off the crap after a wash. You can get oil sprays that I'm considering for mine as over oiling can really strangle it.
I'm sure I've seen them on evil bay.
Neighbours must be loving the extra racket eh!

Diitto Ex's method, although I did try PJ1 cleaner last time. It worked OK but I reckon Kerosene / Paraffin gets it cleaner. Remember to re-oil using a good quality oil (again I use an aerosol based one) and get plenty on, it'll run a bit rich to start with but better that way than not enough (IMHO)

I should add that when I first got mine, I asked Jorge what to use to clean, and that was the method he recommended.
