PC Glen Dennis told the Hull Daily Mail: "In my time as a police officer, this is the worst case of dangerous driving I have come across."

Looks like a normal day at the office to me. :smt012

Ive seen worse!!

Points to note:

1. It's a *edit* Merc Sprinter.. It sits a lot higher than a car and the driver has a better field of vision than many. I would happily hazard a guess he could see a fair way further than Plod could.

2. The road was clear, no panic braking anywhere (to avoid oncoming traffic) no squirrels were killed in the making of that video although a few feathers were ruffled.

Thats not dangerous driving, nobody was endangered by his overtaking, it is just that he stayed over on the opposite side of the road longer than is normal.

Ask Cambridgeshire Police about dangerous driving.. their advanced car courses regularly have close shaves in our area. Nobody gets hung or drawn there..

Also he pulled over to let the bike past, it didnt, so he indicated and carried on.. He was clearly aware of his surroundings?

sorry Kwackerz got to disagree, what your saying is if you sit high enough you can drive how you want to,i do'nt know how you can see in front when your on a long sweeping bend. did'nt he have a van in front of him when he pulled out then cut him up.

overtaking eight cars at once
diving in and out of traffic at high speed
Make your mind up !
passing cars on blind bends
Not in that clip when offsiding, tho the bike was blind.
at over 60mph
Is that 61 or 161?

Certainly not as dangerous as things we all see every day, tho the copper rode like a twat imho.

Hmm 36 seconds, shows him pulling in and there are still vehicles out overtaking, he obviously pulls in as he hasnt a safe view..

Then there's a big jump that gives a false impression,

I'll give you the van at 46 secs was maybe shoving in somewhat, but the overtake after? watching it full screen he can see the van that pulls out prior to him and the road, then as he is alongside the truck he has a clear view of round that bend as it straightens out. He pulls in in plenty of time then the oncoming car seemingly flashing the police bike that is overtaking at speed at the time.

What bends were there? a very fast left hander and he didn't overtake until he could see past the vehicle in front.

I've spent far longer on the "wrong " side of the road when overtaking, even on a motorbike, I think plod in this case is an arsehole, got nothing better to do that not hunt proper criminals.

I know what youre saying, it appears from our camera angle that he cut the smaller van with the ladders on the roof(?) up, -but there again, the guy in the small van.. coming home or going to work, slow moving traffic, not paying much attention.. doesnt notice our WVM until he pulls in, flashes him and brakes..

Now my normal reaction seeing a huge van coming into a position like that, were he to be liable to cut me up, would be to start pulling back before he got there as I knew he'd not get in and would probably try to. (sods law) But the guy didnt and our WVM slotted in with room to spare. Im not definate that he didnt have enough room.. ok you couldnt apply the 2 second rule, but you couldnt to ANY of those vehicles we saw.
I think little WVM with the ladders simply wasnt paying attention then broke and flashed as a reaction to suddenly seeing a big WVM in front of him, -a reaction rather than a warning.. if you see what im bumbling on about! It gives an impression he was cut up, but i dont think it was a proper sliced up jobbie.
