Phantom, our youngest at 6yrs 1mth and 3days was put to sleep on Friday with kidney failure. She had a phantastic nature and was very playfull. We're really going to miss her as the 3remaining are all 9+yrs and somewhat calmer. It's strange saying 3........ not that long ago we had 5

We've buried her next to Morghanna, so they can hopefully keep each other company in spirit.
I do think though that she is the best advert I've ever seen for better regulation of breeders in the UK. A 6yr old cat should not get kidney failure but the vet has said her kidneys were abnormal......... he couldn't find one it was so small. She's always been a very sickly cat. The breeder also had an outbreak of FIP in her cattery........ tried to sell me a kitten which was unsuitable for breeding which Phantom was bought with the intention of........ not to mention other problems.
They say things come in 3s....... well that is our 3rd death in the last year.......... hope it is the last for a while.
