my new fuel exhausts just arrived..... look spiffing :)
and, despite my best attempts at metalwork, I gave up on my tail tidy.... but mate over the road is a metalworker and is making one for me :)
once all done, I will take the obligatory phots to prove once and for all that black is the fastest colour :)

well, have spent the day fettling on the falco.
The exhausts were easy to fit - I took my time on them and went crazy with cleaning stuff - my wife thinks I am sad for cleaning the inside of the allen key heads with a dremel brush attachment.... but, what does she know :)
Anyway, fitted them - and tip here - spray the inside of the rubber mounting straps with wd40 - you then can turn the pipes more easily to get them straight.
So, fire dit up - and yep, sounded nice - very nice.
Mate popped over from the other side of the road as he heard them, and as we chatted my nervous disposition got the better of me and i started fiddling with a size 4 allen key and a 10 ml spanner, and bugger me the baffles fell out.....
Now that sounds intense - and sounds right. I think that at low revs, in built up areas, they will not be illegal - loud and full of character but not too bad.
(While being thrashed i think they may well be a little excessive but :)
Oh - and final part of my xmas present - I just got some aprilia falco panniers, used once, for 100 quid off evil bay :)
