Having sold my Falco about two and a half years ago, I have seen one in a local dealer. Its a yellow 2002 in reasonable nick with only 3300 miles on the clock. You have to ask what it has been doing, rather than being ridden but I am getting increasingly interested in the idea of buying it as a second bike. They have it on the floor at £3000 but I would not pay that. The same dealer refused point blank to cosider my minter as a part exchange (Yamaha dealers) so they will probably be keen to get shot of this one.

What would you guys consider to be the going rate for a bike of this age and miles? At what price would it be a bargain. I am thinking close to £2k....

If I got it I would consider it a bit of a project. I had a yellow one before and this one would have to be diffeent, so a paint job would be called for. Thinking of a deep red, but not really thought tto hard about that yet. Got to buy it first. The other half is thinking of buying it for my birthday.

Low miles, good nick. Any extras? Id say £2500-£2750 would be a good dealer price; I paid £3000 a couple pf months ago, (for the FAR superior SILVER variety! )

I would like it.... I swapped it for a Futura, which was great but a bit like trading the lover in for her plumper and not so pretty sister. I now have a CB1300 which is a good bike but it does not have the play factor that the Falco had. I am going to wait a while before I do anything. The dealer has not had it on the floor quite long enough yet. My mint 2001 model (with 15000 miles) was in the Aprilia dealers for nearly a year!
