damn.....now I remember why I can't use buses

Now I remember why loathed the Beetles.

They used to wear weird gear and talk like that.

Looking at my profile Pic'y you can imagine why I might be a bit upset about that ruling
( by the way, if you could see the rest of the Pic'y you would see that I am wearing a long Black Goth Trench coat)!!

mmmm OK ... they're a bit unusual and eccentric but what daft excuses by the bus company ..... 'other passengers may get hurt if the driver braked sharply' !!!

These will be the passengers that are immune to flying luggage, pushchairs, babies, zimmer-frames, possibly dogs on leads, vicars sporting dog-collars and all the other unsecured paraphernalia that regularly fills up busses that may have to brake a bit sharpish.

I constantly bemoan the passing of eccentricity and character in this age when we are all supposed to conform to the nanny/nazi state ideal, but those two freaks are nothing but that ... freaks, by choice.

I wouldn't call them freaks. They just do what they want........good on 'em. I personally prefer to keep my dog collars for in the house but......each to their own. I do think the excuse is rather silly though........ If you are worrying about hurting other passengers if the bus brakes sharply then you should ban anyone from standing up on the bus. Have you tried wearing stilettos and trying to walk down a bus aisle to get off whilst it is moving? It's an art, believe me.

I guess they should 'bin the leash' a re-appear with those really big spiked dog collars and see what happens!!

No, but I've tried it with one leg in plaster and it's terrifying!

tis a good reason to not use public transport BG.

Never ceases to amaze me how fast the buses zip along..........and it's usually the school buses that go round the corners on two wheels.

Well, as a member of one of the most despised minorities in this country (yep, I'm a biker ), my sympathy goes out to the couple. Who gives a monkey's what they look like or what pushes their buttons?
More to the point, what right has a bus driver to say he doesn't want them on his bus?
Old lady with a stick? Menace!
Wheelchair user? Health & safety issue!
Pushchair? Danger to others!

Every day, those of us who jump on wobbly, two-wheeled, organ donor, 'lethal' speed machines get closer to being legislated out of existence. My personal belief is that we should fight, not just for our own pleasures, but for peoples right to individualism to be re-introduced into our national characteristic.

So just what do you have against those crappy air cooled German mobile prams, that unfortunately seem to last a lot longer than they should do.

They don't even make decent trikes unless you shove a Porkie engine in. As for what they wear I have seen a few with flower stickers all over them, usually painted pink and yes I can understand how you could loathe them.

Thought you might be, but you should be gettin used to my sense of humour by now.
Anyway the 60's Barbie car must be closely related to the BMW GS1200.
Both have German built air cooled flat 1200 cc engines and get Driven/ridden by celebs, so you could go for a Barbie bike again, and just hope you manage to keep it a bit longer this time.
Seriously, they're a nicer bike than the big BM tourers for most people.
But you already know that.
