Christmas TV

No doubt it'll be a rerun of all the standard issue films dotted around HM the Queen's Speech.
So.. What'd you prefer to see instead of 'The Snowman', 'The Grinch' and the like?

I'll offer 'Coyote Ugly' purely as it's as un-christmassy as i can think, yet not overplayed enough to bore me to tears. Kids probably wont like it but hohum, they can go do the washing up instead. :smt005

Failing that it'd be nice to sit down and watch Zulu (again) (with a glass of Sherry in one hand and mincepie in the other)

Oh no, not Zulu again!

My dream for Christmas TV would be to have NO soaps! Or at least, specially none of the miserable ones, and most of them seem to be that way, from the trailers!

I'd like a really great variety show, just like we used to have only with modern stars of course!

And some really funny comedy - are there any funny sitcoms now that all the family can enjoy? I still like to see the old ones but something fresh would be good!

What about a circus? An ice show? Something to give a hint that it's not just another day of telly watching?

Forget it, I'll just drink too much and go to sleep...........

Once again I am saved by the lack of a telly. :smt003

Will probably re-watch some "West Wing" if I feel the need to sit in front of the box.

"Love thy neighbour" re-run, but I don't think the do-gooders will EVER let it come back on tv

I bought a christmas telly book yesterday OMG, same old rubbish same old repeats we get every damn year, at least there's Hammond meets Evil knievel to look forward to, and one or two other things as for the rest, a wast of £120 a year licence fee me thinks, :smt120

I think TV should be shut down for Christmas, forcing people to use their brains for at least one day in the year and have a conversation or read a book.

Shrek 2 was funny though.

I havent watched telly over chrimbo (although shrek was on in the background at me mums) and the only thing that I involved my brain with was me trying to drown it :smt002
