Morning all,
Yes, I'm one of those people who grew up in the 80s listening to Iron Maiden. I am still a fan, but no where near as big a one as I was back them.
Now they're coming to my city after 15 years. Yes, I saw them when they were here in '92. According to the concert information, they're playing all the old stuff from the 80s that I really like.
Their new stuff leaves me unimpressed, and Bruce's voice is nothing like it was back then. Oh, the tickets are $100 each for the cheap ones.
So, should I go and see them or not? What do you think?

probably yes as you want to use us as an excuse
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Its so long since I heard one of their records, I doubt I'd go as they must be museum pieces by now.
Bit like most of the bands of the 60's, 70's 80's really, what was a gravelly voice sounds like a bucket of gravel.

You should go - and you should also enjoy yourself!
I'd love to go but unfortunately we've already booked our holidays for next year and the dates clash.
I'm going to see Bruce Springsteen in a couple of weeks at the 02 but I'd much rather have gone to IM

Damn right you should go.
Buy a t-shirt, get leathered on White Lightning and relive your well spent youth

That's my NO vote.
Treasure the memory - don't spoil it with an over slick modern facimile.
PS Does 'Eddy' still come shambling on at the end?

No ways.... those old boys still rock. Bruce runs around the stage like a madman and they have all the energy of their youth.
