Well I don't know what to make of it, its like the Saab Viggen from 1970, which must make it a bit of a museum piece (unless you are a Dale Brown, Dreamland fan, when anythings possible).
Then there's those lets advertise ourselves from 50 miles contrails. It also looks as stealthy as a brick
I'd like to know how much of our tax payers money they've wasted on it.
Eurofighter Typhoon
What do you think?
PS. Maybe they shouldn't have given it the name Typhoon (Deffo one of the best ground attack fighters we ever had)
Hawker Typhoon

Having seen Typhoon in action (well, not 'action') I must say im impressed.
My first impressions too were that it was a SAAB Viggen with a refit!
It is however yet another formidable battlefield vehicle. I'd be quite happy with that covering my six!
I tell you what, having seen the pilot 'dancing one' up at RAF Leeming the other month, for a fast jet, it's got brilliant agility and by fek it can dump the clutch n pick up it's skirts. It aint slow, put it that way!
The Eurofighter Typhoon was named after the fighter, to the dismay of Germany (Typhoons attacked German trains).
Do you need any more reason to call it Typhoon?
I tell you though, the day they call a new Plane a 'Spitfire', there'll be blood spilt.

my brother in law is an after burner engineer for rolls royce and a bit of an aircraft anorak
he reckons the typhoon is a VERY impressive aircraft
he also pointed out that it shits all over anything the yanks have..... good enough for me

seen this at a show in 06 and as KwacKerz says it's impressive, do'nt know if it will ever be needed though which will determine it's value.

Probably not too far from the truth. If the Crabs, sorry, RAF are anything like the Army then everything they do begins, ends and involves large amounts of the stuff
