Nice.

I'll keep an eye on that.
Love to do it if circumstances allow at the time.

you got a thumb gio??
and surely such a hunk of man love would be able to get a (pillion) ride.....
I deliberatly posted it here so that people can see what we are trying to do - so, even if you cannot do the ride, you may shamble along to a stop etc....
oh, and btw - i still think that you will be back riding... am guessing by easter - simply because you already miss it

It sounds similar to a trip I have been wanting to do for some time now.
Basically, I want to ride LE to JoG, but to make it a little different, I want to visit the furthest most compass points of the UK Mainland. Those being:
North- Dunnets Head
East- Lowestoft
South- Lizard Point
West- Lands End (although I would throw in St. Davids Point as the most westerly point in Wales).
I have never got round to it, but will do it some day. Hope your trip goes as planned, and you raise plenty of money for the charities you choose.

I won't be up for the trip but would love to meet up somewhere.
As for what charities you choose - can I suggest one for your consideration? You all know how much you enjoy your bikes and all the fun of rides and events and such - have you thought about the National Association for Riders with a Disabilty? The NABD is a national registered charity which raises funds to help disabled bikers and would-be bikers (and trikers) with all aspects of getting back on the road including advice about licences etc and grants to make adaptions to their bikes/trikes to enable them to ride. It seems a very appropriate charity for bikers to support!

Just a thought!
On a lighter note,
do not think this has been done before = as in for charity, and to meet folks etc - so would be a giggle and would raise the biker profile - and for us, we get to do the ride
Madrider1961 did it on a 125 this year! Only because of problems with his support crew he didn't quite achieve what he intended - so he's doing it again in 2008!
