As a cousin of mine who is a Norton fanatic, would say, if bits don't fall off and it doesn't leak oil, it ain't a Norton. QED

Well I doubt that so many 60yr olds would buy a traditional Norton race bike either.

However, if they made a road version, I certainly could see that 60 yr olds would consider it.
There are a good number of Falco riders in their mid to late 50s and even a few in their 60s - and I bet a road going version of the Norton would appeal to some of them.
I'll be there myself in less than a decade and I hope that I wouldn't feel it completely wrong for me. It seems to have a good blend of modern and more traditional styling.

..... and what's the theory between it not being a proper Norton unless it appeals to the over 60s market. Think back to Norton's heyday - were most of the riders in their 60s? I think that more were probably in their 20s and maybe their 30s.

Those riders were in their 20's and 30's then, thats the theory. I'd guess and say how many of todays 20 to 30 year olds have ever heard of Norton before, not that many I'm sure.
