This is not my trick. Im just repeating it..

Here is a maths trick so unbelievable that it will stump you. Personally I would like to know who came up with this and why that person is not running the country. ..

1. Grab a calculator. (You won't be able to do this one in your head)
2. Key in the first three digits of your home phone number (NOT the area
code)
3 Multiply by 8
4. Add 1
5. Multiply by 250
6. Add the last 3 digits of your phone number
7. Add the last 3 digits of your phone number again.
8. Subtract 250
9. Divide number by 2


Do you recognize the answer?

Turn it into an algebraic equation Kwaks and what you will find you are doing is to multiply the first 3 digits of your phone number by 1000 and then adding on the last 3 digits. Not surprisingly this gives you your phone number.

answer = (250(8x+1) +2y -25-) / 2 where x = first 3 digits and y = last 3

so answer = (250*8x +2y) / 2

so answer = (250*4x + y) = 1000x + y
