Proof there is no such thing as a slow bike. Only slow riders. :)
Not sure it classifies as a
proper sports tourer though?

The last time I got close to a goldwing it was on a heading to broadside my leg in the Cotswolds. Just before Tazman executed the coolest crash I've ever seen.

Didn't Honda race one of the early (GL1000) Gold Wings at the Island (or somewhere)?
The last video I saw of Deals Gap was where a couple of Harley riders failed to make a turn and rode straight off the road. In fact it looked as though the front one barely attempted the turn and the second one just seemed to play "follow the leader".
Now that was funny
(Although I did hope no-one was badly hurt)

There was a police motorcyclist at our place who got into a bit of bother cos when there was some police 'do' at a racetrack he went round the course like a racer and scraped the panniers on a brand new police Pan Euro. He later had as a personal bike a Deauville and when asked why he said it did everything he needed - it did too, with him aboard!

That's an enduring memory here too.
