Are they selling more stuff? I guess they must be a bit because we are eating at home rather than in the works canteen etc. But at the same time people like me are getting groceries delivered to the door at the same price that they are in the stores so Tesco is effectively paying for most of the delivery costs. Then there is the cost of employees off isolating etc on full pay. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

But you must have noticed that food prices have gone up considerably? Someone told me the other day that her mate is a Deliveries manager for one of the big supermarkets - a year ago she had 60 drivers to manage, now she has 200. That's a lot of extra food being delivered! and anyway, we pay for delivery.
