Been hiding under my blanket . . .

#1 Post by MartDude » Tue May 16, 2017 12:53 am

Sorry I've been neglecting the forum for so long. I've had quite a few things to deal with - work problems, which I finally resolved by quitting just before Christmas after a "frank exchange of views" (told my manager she was talking bollocks, amongst other things, after I discovered she'd been lying about me in e-mails; she's an insecure, paranoid control freak, with the people skills of a rabid Jack Russell). Back problems have been getting worse - neck feels like someone's trying to saw my head off with a rusty, blunt, breadknife, & legs keep going wobbly now - spinal surgeon said that at 63, I have the spine of a 70-80 year old - now waiting for an appointment with a neurophysiologist next.

I've been somewhat down in the dumps, and haven't really felt very communicative, but it's time to throw the blanket off, and come out into the sun.

The Callifornia EV seems to have a buggered fuel pump - looks like it's had problems in the past which weren't properly resolved. However, the old Cali 1100i - the black & yellow thing - is back on the road, after a 2-year "rest", now with a new clutch & brakes serviced - so much easier to ride now.

Welcome back, Mart! I've been noticing your comments and post on FB, but you can't beat a bit of banter on a forum... Hope that all your woes will get sorted sooner rather than later.

Well getting on the forum is one bit of advice I recognise.

BTW have you tried acupuncture, it did wonders for my back :smt001
I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"

Welcome back to the house of abject chaos. :smt006
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

I forgot to say well done for fucking off a shite job and an even worse mis manager !
As far as your aches go, explore everything, being pierced with needles and drinking foul herbal remedies can often work where conventional medicine does not.
If I see you in Sam's bar I will happily buy you a double nettle and llama dung cocktail :smt001

Hi Mart - glad you are feeling better. Look forward to some warm sun on your face (through your whiskers, obviously). Hope to see you soon. :smt006
