Soft spread mayonnaise with a hint of garlic ...hard churned extra salted butter...multi seed delicate flour coloured bread ...5 slabs of just crispy locally sourced bacon washed down with several large freshly brewed Italian origin dark coffee ... and savoured over a sweet hand rolled cigar ...this is not just any breakfast this is a bike distracting man breakfast

OK so the bacon was going out of date the mayonnaise has been in the cupboard since BC the butter is from morris ons own make as is the coffee and I have to sit outside in -3 to smoke but given that I can't feel my fingers and have to prep for a new job ...again ... I am not thinking bike

OK so

I am thinking bike..
Im thinking that it is such a pity that on days when the day turns into a sunny one, its in the minus figures when I need to set of for work at 6am..
Im thinking that on days when it's not freezing, it's wet and will be chucking all that salt all over my ride..
I'm thinking I need to put that shed up so I can work on my bike regardless of the weather..
I'm thinking roll on spring :smt002 :smt003

I'm also thinking of bacon and garlic mayo !

'Feels like -7' in lincoln at the moment. Add in wind chill at 40mph and I was bloody frozen after a mere 5 mile commute home.

I'm definitely not riding for my own pleasure at the moment, that's for sure!

I was very pleased to discover that the Met Office had mistakenly forecast 'cold and dry' when they really meant 'kin freezing with miles of sleet and snow showers'...

The (genuine) positive is that I'm really pleased to get into the office at the moment, just so I can warm up! :smt003

I once did a Coventry -> Lincoln commute in comparable weather, went straight to the gym to warm up in the steam room. Felt like someone had set me on fire!

I rememeber riding round the M25 in March one year, seeing the sign for my junction coming up and thinking Help! I've got to unfreeze my hand from the bars enough to operate the clutch!

Happy days.......... wish I could do it now.

It's my sad (ha!) duty to report that today, for the first time in weeks, I was still able to feel my fingers when I reached the M25 today.

Will keep you in mind for the next cold snap BG! :smt003
