Yes, I know this is in the wrong section, but people read this..lol

Whilst swapping out a dead starter solenoid on the Futura, I've managed to pop the diode unit thingy. Am wondering if anyone has one lying around they'd like to swap for some beer tokens?

Brief description. Small grey box, looks like a relay and may well be hiding with them on other bikes. Says "Leonelli - Spain" on the top. Inline white wiring connection with 6 or 7 pins. It's a diode unit for the safety cutouts. Managed to by-pass it for now, but not ideal.

I've heard of these going pop in the past but not too often. I'd be inclined to build my own, the layout is in the manual and you could probably rob the connector and case by reaming out the potting compound. It's just a bunch of diodes connected up in the right order.

I shall consult the book. Didn't think it'd be that simple. Doh! Diodes are pence, so cheers for the tip.

Yup, a handful of diodes, a bit of strip board and basic soldering skills should do it. As you say they cost bugger all, so if it doesn't work not much lost.

I have a spare if you need it, fairly sure it works but cant guarantee, can test it by swapping out but cant do that now as having a beer and watching super fit lycra clad girlies bringing home the bling for GB
