It is also where a lot of the insurance panel law firms operate from as well. What is it about Southport with Banks and legal related businesses? :smt017

I could not see anything special about it (no offence intended towards anyone who lives there)

There's an excellent Italian restaurant which I hope we'll visit!

What makes it special for my daughter is that she lives right by the marine lake which is where she teaches Stand Up Paddleboarding, and there are lots of other places nearby for down-winding and canal and river paddling - they've even paddled to Blackpool! - now there's a place that REALLY isn't special!

My favourite description of Southport is 'faded grandeur' .

How very dare you ! Blackpiddle is indeed a very special place, it has 3 piers, extremely faded granduer, numerous holiday parks that look like open prisons, arcades and fast food outlets outnumber the local populus 3 to 1 and is a compete ghost town in winter, and I managed to get expelled from 3 local schools, thats bloody well special !

You're welcome to Blackpool Gio!

I shall be watching indoor SUP Polo in Southport, and possibly visiting Liverpool.
