I've ordered a few of these in as they sound like they could be extremely useful. Two have gone already (one to our own indomitable pedant and hard-core Falcoist D-Rider), but I have two left which I'll discount for Ridersite types.

These two I have left I'm asking £55 for with free UK postage. They're also up on the Falco Owners Farcebook page, so when they're gone, they're gone.

They seem to be around the £65 mark on line which is what any future ones will be priced at, but I'll cover the UK postage cost for forum members, so you can still save a few quid.

I bought a juno power jumpr last April for £40, can't start the car on it but it started my bike no trouble in December when I had to replace the battery (2004 original)

That's the second time I've heard of a jump-starter not being able to start a car, seems their claims are a bit optimistic for that, but as you say, bikes don't seem to be an issue.

Talking with some of the guys with them on the Tiger 800 groups, a lot of them have them, but mostly use them for phone/tablet chargers while out.

Mine arrived this morning - and a nice bit of kit it is too.

I'm not sure when I'll be able to report on it being used in anger.
My car, the wife's car, my son's van and my Falco normally start without problems.
My eldest son's scooter can be a problem at times (he doesn't ride it much and the battery goes flat) and sometimes my other son's car has flat battery issues - so maybe I'll get the chance to try it out at some point.
I'll try to remember to report back when I do.

This looks like a really good bit of kit for persuading the Falc yes you bloody well will go to work today.
Wouldnt use it on the car, just set the sodding thing on fire.
Will look at this again on payday, budget is a bit stretched at the mo what with striking for wanting to earn a living wage and all that unreasonable nonsense

The trouble with it is that when the XF's battery dies its a bit involved as you can't get into the boot easily as the key (its a keyless go system) isn't recognised. jaguar don't recommend jump starting anyway, recharge the battery and then go get a new one.

These are proving to be quite popular, so I'm going to get some more in and make £55 the forum price.

Mine arrived today, looks like a super handy bit of kit.
It has cross polarity protection, will start your bike, charge any device with a mini usb, has an in built LED torch , you can charge the power pack from mains phone charger, laptop, car fag lighter socket, small enough to easily fit into two jeans pockets or one large jacket pocket.....
Buy one !

Today I used mine in anger.

Not on the Falco but on my son's Fiat Punto.

Started straight away. Excellent. :smt004

Quick and easy with no need to manoeuvre the cars around to get them positioned suitably for a jump start (which would have involved pushing my son's car).

Top Banana! I've since bought a big van-sized version, used it to start the Falco with and from a full charge, it used 6% of it's power reserves in doing so. The torch on it has come in handy a couple of times as well now :-)

Two bike-sized units to go, anyone else tempted?

Have you any bikes left to start with it?

.... there again, leave it with the bike and make life a bit easier for your passing bike-nickers (that is, those that nick bikes - not a miss-spelled biking undergarment)
