Sad story (???).
Seems we are stuck (??) here in Coral Bay for longer than we planned.
I was checking the villa site and looked at the late booking deals. Noticed that the one just behind us, (owned by the same Cypriot family but slighly bigger than the one we are staying in), was still available and the price was dropping, and had a silly thought, "why not see if we can stay another week?"
Asked the villa rep if we could stay a 3rd week, which meant re-arranging the flight home for 7 days later, extending the hire car for another week and paying for a week in the other villa, as ours was booked that week.
Within 24 hrs got an email back, saying yes we can do that for £249 for the villa and £66 each to change the flights which including the car came to £626.
Try getting any hol in Cyprus with villa, flights and Focus hire car for that price.
So sadly we accepted and are stuck here for a third week.
The weather has been great so far, so perhaps we will get over it!
Catch you later, enjoy the Marches meet!

Not too long now Dave, hope you enjoy it as much as we are.
It's now difficult to remember the days when I used to spend time on holidays thinking of work issues, and there is no way I could ever have made a snap decision to add another week, if the price was attractive/too good to miss. Having great weather helps a lot as well.
We have been here every year for the last 10 years, as you get great weather but not too hot.

It's nice to not have to rush back.BikerGran wrote:How awful for you...........
When Terri was offered redundancy/early retirement last year, I persuaded her to take it even though she is a few years younger than me.
In January it was a special birthday for her so I promised her a special year for holidays. We have worked/saved hard to be able to enjoy retirement while we still can, so intend to do just that.
My arthritis has got much worse in the last year and walking has become a pain.
We always like to walk a lot on holiday, but for the first 5 or 6 days the pain was still a problem.
The hot weather seems now to be getting through to my joints and we managed to spend nearly 2 1/2 hours walking on the coast path and clambering over the white rocks and coves in the Sea Caves area, so it will be great to get away with this without much pain for an extra week.
Hope you are both well.
