Took a tumble on the bike yesterday, on the A5 near Shrewsbury, the bike is in a right state and I'm all dings and dents. List so far for the bike is bent fairing frame (top bit with the screen) top yoke is displaced left (this is most noticeable when you move the bars left to right its got 1.5inch gap on the right and a huge dent on the left in the tank. Other things are the bike crabs when you push it so I'm guessing its a bent frame/front forks. The left hand radiator was crushed by the fan.
It was diesel I'm led to believe as the breakdown man had collected 4 or 5 bikes there in the last week.
If the bikes not scrapped (I think it will be) it'll be a few months before I'm back in the saddle as I've got a chipped shoulder, damaged my left knee again skinned left hip, crack in my left elbow.
It was my fault really, I felt the back loose grip and I did nothing about it.
I've told the wife that if the bike is scrapped then I'd not get another, also if it isn't then it'll be sold after this summer.

Oh no Gio that's just not good at all.
Glad you're mainly OK tho. GWS
What a real shame about the bike tho. You ain't gonna be the only one that's gutted about it.

Cheers peeps
I'll be okay, but I must admit I'm not even worried about being bikeless. I think maybe its time to call it a day before something serious happens.

Ouch.
Sorry to hear your bad news Gio. Hope you heal up quickly .... although things do seem to take a bit longer than they once did.....
Shame to hear about the bike - but bikes can be replaced (yes - even that bike - and you were planning to despoil it anyway)
Time for Howard to step up and empathise with you - I remember he was set to give up after his "little trauma" - but is now back in the saddle.
I guess it's natural to think of quitting after an "event" like this - and if that's really right for you, then so be it.
There again, give it a few weeks to look at in the wider context and then think about what you want to do.
Just remember there are good Falcos out there at knock-down prices and you've a great supply of spares sitting there in a bit of a mess at present (and whatever you do, don't let the insurance company have the "good bits" - even if you don't need them, there's others that do!).
All the best!

Damn, sorry to hear you've come off. That's a fair list of damage - both the bike and yourself. Take a bit of time and sort yourself, then worry about the bike.
