I bought some chainlube that looked all singing/dancing, dry lube with PTFE.
I hold my hands up and admit it was a late evening weekend purchase,so when the 3 cans arrived I realized I did not check that it is labelled suitable for use with 'o'ring chains.
It does not say so on the tin so would I be even more foolish to use it ?

Before I went back to shaft drive (so superior, no faffing around with greasy stuff, no adjusting) I used Wurth dry chain lube, as I knew a Wurth rep through work (got it at trade price). I asked the same question, & was told by Wurth it wouldn't adversely affect O or X rings.

Thanks Mart, its from Denmark, super super eco stuff, uses CO2 as propellant so you get more product/less propellant for your bucks.
It's probably so much more advanced than the crap we buy here, the Danes would see it as advertising to the retarded ( that its OK for 'o,ring chains as anything less is in the dark ages).

Well today it worked so it's EE or my tablet, both of which are a bit bonk,and so is the chain lube I just bought.
Its not dry at all,does not go tacky but is still very slippery on my fingers after the Griff test.

Erm - isn't a lubricator meant to be slippery?

Chain lube in a can like that is fantastic for lubricating the spring on an up-and- over garage door, by the way!
