.. it's a bit sad that over 500,000 people have signed a wassit and the media is covered in the story to bring Clarkson back, yet couldn't give a shit about things that actually matter? Like, who runs the country for instance. Imagine if that many people signed a petition in as short a space of time demanding a referendum on the EU..
Eh well. Democracy I suppose..

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

Bread and circuses.
Keep the uninformed, unwashed masses distracted by so-called celebrities and their choreographed antics from all the real problems.
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

Will we find out today that the whole Clarkson thing is a Red Nose stunt ...... or did he hit the producer somewhere other than the middle of his face ......
Can't agree more though.
And if anyone else hit someone in the workplace, they'd be summarily dismissed that same day. Can't believe it's dragging on so long .... and as for the PM sticking up for him - what kind of message does that send?!

To be fair, there is no evidence that he punched everyone....that is just something the media has proposed and people are taking it as fact...
The term 'fracas' is being used a lot....but it could just as easily be used to define a verbal attack instead of a physical one.

No-one really cares, it's just the 'petition mentality'
They don't - do they? Really?

You're right it hasn't been overtly stated. However it really does sound that way. James May was asked to deny that Clarkson punched the producer and said that he didn't deny it. The TV news said it is believed he did ... and they are unlikely to have said that if it wasn't fairly certain. Not confirmation but sounds very likely.
.... but it isn't confirmed which is why I've not said he did (other than light-heartedly suggested such in my Red Nose joke). I have said that if someone did do this they would be out straight away ... which is why I find it hard to understand why the BBC management are taking so long to confirm what did happen
.... and the sad thing is those idiots jumping on the bandwagon to support him when the allegations are serious and it has not been shown he didn't do it ... they have certainly jumped the gun - particularly when there are far more important things to petition about.

I really don't care. It should be an internal BBC matter that we all hear about after it's all over.

Depends on where you work I suppose. I've seen given a tin of beer each, made to shake hands and promise to stop behaving like twats.

I certainly don't! I don't think Mr Clarkson would give a toss if I lost my job through no fault of my own never mind if it was my own doing!
Anyway he's from Doncaster!

Well I guess there may be exceptions .... such as in the world of professional boxing .... but it's been the case everywhere I've worked.
Surely it would be the case in an organisation with the public face of the BBC?

Places like the beeb I'd expect it to be the case. I've mostly worked for very small firms owned by an individual or family. Less people to wrangle, less need to codify everything. Also less places to lurk and the threat of the sack for repeatedly saying that Status Quo suck donkey balls.

I'm bothered. I like TG, I like Clarkson and I'm gutted theyved pulled the remaining 3 episodes.
Tbh though I hope he quits and all 3 presenters go over to sky and make a bigger, better, improved version of the show.

I did rather like what James May said when they doorstepped him...

Well I think James May is spot on with his character assessment.
Clarkson and TG is a bit of a marmite thing..
The man's ego will hopefully be his undoing
