Just wondering if their are any reasons why I couldn't modify a set of cans off a 4 stroke inline 4 bike to fit the falco?

Maybe it would it blow the packing out?

The cans I am thinking of are akrapovics made of titanium.

Your thoughts?

Got to be worth a go ! Can't think of any reason why it shouldn't work.
Single, twin, triple,in line four, the can does the same job

Have you checked first whether Akrapovic make something similar for the Falco? One thing I can think of that might cause a problem is the inlet diameter - would it be the same as the Falco? Also, you'd be very fortunate if the mounting points line up; most likely they wouldn't. All that stuff can be fixed, of course, but it all adds cost.

I bet they'd be f'in LOUD on a Falco... :smt003

If you were racing and dependant on the last few BHP for a win, then likely you had better get the silencer designed for your engine. On the road its unlikely that you would notice losing 5 bhp because its extremely rare that you can use the full power output of your bike. And the change might even give you a few more ponies.

Just make sure that its a silencer for a similar sized engine and not a smaller one - the gas output of a V twin and a 4 cylinder both of one litre displacement is identical at the same rev range just the 4 cylinder has twice as many pulses

Not really for racing, just bling.

The ones I have in mind would look sweet :smt003
