Only gone and bought another one!

Promise I'll go and see a specialist.. Right after I've done this one.

1962 Triumph T110 (Tiger 110). Some nice bits, some not so nice.. But this'll be kept in it's current condition and abused until it falls apart. Pretty much the same thing I did with the 6T.



Just don't see many old shed's like this around.. Which I think is a shame.

That looks very like the one you bought the other week - the one with the fridge and freezer attachments at the back and the old 2010 World Cup Vuvuzellas mounted on it.

It is.. But haven't been near me PC for a while to share with the world outside of Farcebook....

I like that! It's good to see older bikes still being put to good use rather than trailed along to shows.

Many years ago I used to work in the classic bike trade dragging a jumble stall up and down the country. Also used to fix up and restore the old stuff to make a few quid. Wasn't great money, but was a good way to earn it. Still have a few contacts in the classic world, and some still pop up with some jems. It's nice that this one popped up for a realistic price rather than the silly amounts people are asking.

You may remember from previous posts, I had a 1959 T110 many years ago (about 40!), I used it as a run around and mainly for work, as i had started a new job on three shifts ......................................................

I was late for work a lot.
I didn't get to run around on it very much.
It wasn't too reliable and that is being very kind.

I hadn't the time and money to really sort it and it had to go, replaced by a nearly new Suzuki T350 Rebel, which was a revaltion, quick and utterly reliable, with lights that really worked.
Following your excellent, well documented, Triumph 6T rebuild, it was great to see how an "engineer" could create a superb reliable bike 40 years later.
I hope this gets you around for a while and does not fall apart too soon, like my did all those years ago.
Then again, if it does, it will be great to follow the rebuild story again.

After a few sturdy kicks, she burst in to life. Not bad considering she's been laid up for 10+ years under a tarp in someones garden. :D
