Me and Terri had a run out to the east coast today and as we turned off the M18 to join the M180 a yellow Falco joined the M180 just behind us, coming from the Leeds area.
I let hime come past and it was a 51 reg in very standard nick.
Standard yellow with black mid fairing.
We were having a walk along the southern sea front at Cleethorpes when what did we spot in the car park along side -
The same yellow Falco, so I stopped for a chat. Turns out the young bloke now riding it had just bought it from a bloke in the Leeds area who had just delivered it to him and he was having his first run out, so he came to the coast. We had a chat and it turned out to be an almost virgin Falco.
Side stand looking bolt upright with everything bog standard other than Beowulf oval race cans. I suggested he should swap the stand ASAP, pointing out how upright it was, (he said he had heard about the problem and was watching a Firestorm stand on eBay).
The original Blue Spring shock looked absolutely spotless.
He had previously run an ER6N so this was his first big V Twin, he liked it so far but reckoned it tended to "hunt" a bit at very low revs, that made it a bit awkward in traffic.
Suggested he change to a 15 tooth front sprocket and take it steady until he got more used to it.
Gave him details of our site and asked him to drop in and say hello.
Off we went and later headed home via Caistor and Willingham Woods on the way back.
As I approached the Caistor High Street crossroads just above Caistor, there it was again, that's the same bike 3 times in one day with two different owners/riders.
Sometimes you can go months and never see one!

If you see him again, recommend a Gabro chip in addition to the 15t front sprocket - makes a huge difference - especially to solve the issue he is complaining about.

Of course, don't forget to remind him to get it resprayed. :smt002

He'll have been a bit spoilt by the ER6 in that regard, they pull smoothly from tickover. You can pull a gear or two higher than you'd think without any real drama.

My falco is a bit fluffy under 3K or so. The solution to this is fairly simple. :smt001
