It's quiet
.......... too quiet..
The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.
Not much to write about.
You get home, park the bike, get indoors out of the winds, off with the wet kit, and get on with whatever needs doing.
I doubt many want to hear about wet and windy commutes that are little different to the ones that they will just have completed.
That said, I know that jonnie_r has taken his Falco all the way from Tadley up to the land of the Wild Haggis as he's been working up there this week. That's a huge haul at this time of year - and he's had some starting issues while he's been there.

Mine is living in the corner of the garage under a bunch of sheets and towels, keep trying to get it out to spin her up.
It is waiting for the right conditions, no grit, no rain and a temperature that doesn't freeze monkeys.
I spent the summer getting the bike perfect and then shutdown, roll on spring.

Wasn't a terribly serious post you know - it was just that sort of 'someone had to say it' thing.
Posts don't always have to be about bikes anyway - that's why we have General Chat! But the damn weather does put one off doing anything!

Time for General Chat to make an appearance again .....BikerGran wrote:Wasn't a terribly serious post you know - it was just that sort of 'someone had to say it' thing.

I've been spending the last 2-3 months trying to sort out my shed and turn it into a proper bike house/workshop. It's involved cleaning walls, mortaring loads of dodgy courses of bricks, painting said bricks, insulating below the joists so any heat doesn't instantly vanish into the ether and a hundred and one other fiddly things.
But the bike was moved in last week, and it's currently sitting on an abba stand and a front headstock stand. Wheels are out, forks are next, followed by swingarm, shock and exhaust. It's getting a proper once-over...

Anything but quiet, too much to do but the mercy of the weather.
Had you noticed that when it is muddy outside, domestic animals double the number of paws they have ?
Eyes follow trail of( Fri 13th Nice Surprise kitten ) paw prints, everywhere, bloody everywhere !
Kitten now 100% at home here, happy to curl up by the dogs belly, crawls under the duvet when the alarm goes off, brings me chewed up rodents, chases neighbours dogs, steals food....
And has earned the name Hyper !

Well, seeing as the street fighter project will be on hold for a while, I've been trying to think of other stuff to do... Battery still on charging doofer, got some new fork oil to go in, new tyres on, still got that other shock to fit properly... May even stretch myself to checking and cleaning the starter wire/bolt...
Got my first passport too.
