That was an interesting experience

#1 Post by T.C. » Tue Jan 28, 2014 5:13 pm

I have today spent the best part of 7 hours being filmed and interviewed for the Fake Britain programme on BBC 1. I had to examine some leathers and look at some video footage of a fake helmet and poor quality leathers being tested and then give an expert opinion.

Can't believe how many times I had to go over the same thing as they got different camera shots, they filmed at home so turned the house upside down, but hopefully it will be worth it.

Certainly puts it into perspective knowing how long it takes and seeing what goes on behind the camera.

Now just got to wait until April when it will be broadcast.

Look forward to watching it. The whole subject of people knowingly selling sub standard bike kit really puts a flea up my arse.
Much like a lot of the bargain crap for sale at the NEC show

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

Hi, slightly confused of the black country here. :smt006

Are they saying that there's fake branded bike kit about, or just that there's some poor quality rubbish?

Kind of hoping there's isn't copies of branded stuff!!! Loads of folk could have bought them unknowingly.

Is there any Fake Branded Kit of reasonable quality at a more realistic price than most of the branded kit?

We could do with some of that!
(unless it involves sweatshop labour .... which I guess most of it would)

That's worrying for those like me of a tight disposition.
I'll stick with the tried and true method of nosing about the local shops for stuff in last years colour.
