Mallory Park Is Saved !

Here's some good news for Christmas ..... Mallory Park has new owners and looks as though things will be resuming there once the agreements with the council are finalised.

Council chief executive Steve Atkinson said new noise levels may now have to be set and a compromise reached between the village and the track operators.
"We still have to have discussions with the new operators about the noise levels and activity on the site," he said.
"We have had preliminary discussions but now they have been signed up we can do something more concrete."
The new firm has been established by Stuart Hicken and Eddie Roberts who both have experience in motorsport, both racing and business.
In a statement the pair thanked the land owners Titan and the council.
"We realise there is a lot of bridge building to be done with the local community, but Mallory Park has been here for a long time and we are hopeful that with understanding all round it will have a long and successful future," they added.

Great news...though the festival may not take place due to an over-spend last year of nearly £50k over the weekend.
Also murmurings that some of the members are concerned the saturday is becoming little more than a glorified track day and they may bring in a rule over bikes over 25 years only being allowed.

That would be a shame if it went for good - maybe they can revamp it to sort out those issues - possibly not in time for 2014 but we can hope ....

That maybe right. But I paid a premium to have the track sessions I booked. They didn't let me out on track for nothing? But hey ho if that's what they want.

Jay,
I'm in agreement with you, if you pay your money you are entitled to use what ever machine you see fit for the day, i mean 2012 was jetskis and wetbikes
But i can also understand where the members are coming from, i'd much rather see tridents, rocket3 h1 h2 gs1000 et all than R1's and blades or their 600 equivalents.
It's a fine balancing act which i think the VMCC do very well
