God bless James - he just swallowed a coin
So called 111
Dick head asked us if we had done the heimlich manoeuvre ...
A - it's outlawed
B - you shouldn't do it on children under 5....
Then asked if he had a temperature.... Yes that is a sign of aspirate pneumonia.... Would take at least three hours to spike....
I think he was trying to be helpful but .... Reading a script is NOT good for health care
(He is now on the way to A&E for a check x ray...)

Bloody frightening when you consider 111 is supposed to be an upgrade
Hope all ends well with the coin guzzler

Ah OK
Might be an idea if they actually let people know about it then .... though maybe not if your experience is anything to go by .......

Aye, hope the money box turns out alright.. you have warned him that usually they get pennies out of moneyboxes by sticking your pinley in the hole at the bottom... he might rattle it out the top that way

If he has swallowed it, it will be a theatre job

A friend of mines daughter swallowed a 1p coin a few years ago. Took her to A&E, did the obligatory x-ray and told them to let it pass naturally. Of course if little Jimbo has swallowed a £2 coin, it may be a bit different. Hope he's ok mind.
As for 111. Similar to our local walk-in centre. Antibiotics for everything. Even a cut finger.

Toad is back home
Local A&E had a 5 hour wait ..... So Hanna took him elsewhere
Apparently nothing on x ray on his chest
(I could have told them that... No wheeze or restricted air way.... It is what I do after all )
I am more bothered about something that size in an infant gut but
So - we are just glad he is ok and home safe
****
no disrespect to the script jockey but -the public deserves and pays for better

Yes - sorry I seem to have overlooked my good wishes for James - I hope all turns out fine.
This could bring a new dimension to the term "changing his nappy" ..... enjoy searching for those "cash prizes"

Reminds me of when I was a child; Christmas pudding with sixpenny pieces wrapped in greaseproof paper.
Seriously, though, as a parent, I can imagine the angst you experienced so thank goodness the wee fellow seems OK and hopefully it will pass through without drama.
Good luck.

Still remember the pain when you bit one edge-on .....
