A new documentary film on Joey Dunlop is set to be broadcast on ITV4 on 6 June at 10pm
Should be worth watching :smt004

Definitely be watching that. One of my most cherished memories is getting pissed with Joey in a bar in Vila Real, Portugal the night before the TTF1 race.

Next day I had a stinking hangover and Joey went out and won the race...

..... and it certainly was.

A very fitting telling of the story of a down-to-earth legend.

As Ron Haslam said, Joey hasn't gone and he never will - we're all still talking about him.

Yes, it certainly showed why he still lives on in hearts and minds. I never realised that it was the suicide of his long time sponsor that made him go and compete in that fateful race in Estonia.

Joey just couldn't stop road racing - it was his life. Imagine the dedication required to win 3 TTs in a week when you're 48...! I doubt we'll ever see his like again.
