The number of millionaires in the british population is 1.1%
The number of millionaires who are cabinet ministers is 62%

So ..... better start working the way up to become a cabinet minister - should improve the finances no end
TBH I think that those with responsibility for the country should be paid well .... though the gap between rich and poor is
far too large

It's easy to steal and horde when you are the one passing the laws.
Come on....they get paid silly amounts and then still get the claim more than my yearly wage in 'expenses'.
Their pay packets are then essentially profit. You only need to do it for a few years to become a millionaire.

The cabinet bods were already rich before they got their current positions, either self made or family money, what gets up my nose is the "we're all in this together" mantra when they obviously cant begin to concieve the lot of the average working punter

I have no problem with people being rich, it's what they do with it that counts. There are some very rich people in this country that stay here, pay their way and practise a degree of philenthropy, we just dont hear about them much.
After the expenses revelations of the past few years it's difficult not to view all politicians as corrupt shysters who are only out to line there own pockets but i suppose what we have is better than a lot of countries, they just have to remember whose money it is they are playing with.

The number of living ex labour leaders who are millionaires?
including ones that have just paid 1.5 million in cash for a house for an oik of a son to live in ... to avoid CGT no doubt
