Time to come clean

time to fess up
to clear the air
time to just do the right thing

all those lovely monikers and platitudes

well for those with a long memory in some ways last year wasn't on the face of it my best year :smt001

After earning the sobriquet of Crash ... I lost count of the number of bumps and scrapes in cars bikes stairs speeding tickets house floods electrical failures family health scares and the same old shit that we have all to deal with on a regular basis That seemed to compress itself into that 12 month spell

Culminating of course in my less than graceful sojurn across alads favourite parking spaces ... a roundabout :smt002

If you are not tuned into my planets wavelength yet I took a big detour and had a spectacular unscheduled dismount across a dual carriageway roundabout and across a BMW car that suddenly decided to park in the dual carriageway

Anyway after that one I have to confess I have been feeling a bit down because of my hands and not been sure if I would be able to ride again.
Not least because between 3/4 doctors they all missed a broken bone each :smt012 ... and apparently putting the head protectors around the neck collar is not quite the way to do things :smt018

So I've been a bit quiet then to start the year, probably been a bit sorry for myself too ...

So what ? New year new start ....well lets put the last year behind me... except my brother's wife has decided to tell him that she wants more out of life and clear off.

I have been treated to the darker side of American employment practices at work and strongly advised to take redundancy sorry I mean told to sign a compromise agreement so have left the world of gainful employment BUPA have said they are not paying for the physio I had under the health scheme I paid for ...and I have now developed some lurgy.

But you know what and, if you are still with me ... this is the crux of the matter I feel pretty damned good :smt003

Because when I came to in the ambulance they said is there anyone you'd like us to inform? I said for Feks sake don't tell the other half!!

So why would i feel good about that? Because at the time she was 9 weeks and 5 days pregnant after over 10 years of trying :smt003

As to why I still feel good because we have made it to 29/30 weeks and had a scan last night where everything still looks good ... can't tell if the baby likes Johnny Cash or not but it definitely gets a reaction!

I wanted to just stop by to say a big thank you to the support I have been getting from this great group of people and to those of you individually that have been really great friends

I will be going to open a tab in the bar shortly ... in the meantime get into the classifieds and buy my stuff I need to buy baby stuff before she realises I have bought more bike stuff

:smt020 :smt003 :smt005 :smt007 :smt006

lets get this party started !! says the man who has been up all night fetching Gaviscon!!

cheers bud feeling a bit more confident but nowhere near not panicking yet :smt003

luckily last nights Sonographer, was also a midwife, and said to her everything was looking good ... she also liked the Johnny Cash and suggested logically enough this name for a boy

hence the need for the better room for the Marches meet... it is our last shcheduled outing and close enough to get across into Wales if needs be plus we'll have a Nurse there :smt003

I mean who'd want an engineer at a time like that :smt017

Congratulations. :smt001

Parenthood sounds like fun. Or from what I've been hearing from next door for the last few weeks it sounds like screaming.

I really thought your first child would be a sheeps.

Congratulations!

Completing your family should make up for a whole lot of downsides - better enjoy feeling good while you can though, you won't feel so great when you've had no sleep for weeks!

Grats mate, just shows that practice makes perfect.

I voted for a girl, in fact I'd be putting money on female twins, with your luck (and lets face it, if it wasn't for bad luck you'd have none at all) you're going to have to deal with a house full of women :smt003

Just getting my coat and hard had and looking for a dark place to hide

Wonderful news mate - though you'll seriously doubt that when the young 'un gets to 9 or so.

And then you get Grandkids. :smt003
