I've got Green Flag, never used them (it was a gratis addition to my policy)

But from what I have been told they're all pretty much the same :smt012

Mine is with caz nash multi bike insurance - they use SOS Motorcycle Rescue

I've no idea if SOS do their 'own thang' other than working through lots of insurance companies but it may well be worth looking into

RAC for me - when i started with them, I liked the idea that I was covered - so i have the service even if i am just a passenger with another person

so - me and the wife have a family thing, so all cars, all bikes covered :)

Ditto what Aladdinsane said - except for AA instead of RAC. Oh.... and no missus.

Also have 'free' cover from ebike insurance so I guess if I break down I'll ring them both and see who turns up first :smt003

Thing is I've never had to call on any of the covers over the past years so no idea how any of them would perform in a crisis :smt009

we've used RAC, Green Flag and I have a driving instructor only recovery service too....... as has been said before...... they are all much of a muchness.

Things I always check now......

how far away from home do you have to be to be picked up if you don't have home start
how often can you use the service before being charged extra.

AA

They've always come out etc etc (if needed)

It used to be RAC covered the car and anyone in it/driving it.

The AA covered the person and any vehicle they were in/on. This suited me having multiple vehicles. (and the fact I change them regularly)

I guess things have change, and they're all doing the same sort of cover.

I've got personal cover with RAC for myself and Gem. It covers us in any car or on the bike.

Had been with them for years and never claimed but had to last year when the turbo failed on my car just outside carlisle. They were spot on and got me/her/dog and car recovered on the back of a lorry and taken home. Mind, the dog had to stay in the car and if he could have got out to get the nasty man who was taking the car away I think he'd have killed him! Think I got all the premiums I've paid over the years in one fell swoop and it hasn't really affected this years renewal.

HTH

Cheers

Paul.
