Cov beat Sheff Utd on penalties to see us through to the Johnstones Paint Trophy semi-final.. haha..
Also through to the 3rd round of the FA cup. Drew Spurs away.. So that's fekt that one.

Yeah .... think 1987 is unlikely to repeat itself this time
Oh damn - realise I've inadvertently posted in the unnecessary football forum

Yeah first time in well over a decade I've not had a season ticket and they open me up to such allegations by getting to Wembley
Edit: suckered in by Will's comment ...... Cov will only be going to Wem-ber-ley IF they win:
- * The northern area semi-final
* The northern area final
to get through to the Final Final at Wembley!

Odd's on favourites to win it. Means nothing though. Looking like McGoldrick will be going in January, so another blow. Best goal scorer City have had in years and they can't afford his wages. Feckin SISU.

That'll be a blow

Probably not - can't see him being up to the class of Marlon King - absolutely certain we'd not have been relegated if they'd kept him

SISU .... the reason I haven't got a season ticket

Aaaaaaaaaand to cap it all, it looks as though ACL (the people who part own the stadium) are going to have the club wound up because of unpaid rent. The club has 21 days (until boxing day) to get it sorted. SISU have sort of said they'd rather find somewhere else to play rather than pay the extortionate amount of back rent owed. Can sort of see their POV to be honest. Cov Council are also part owners. Apparently ACL do "well enough without the football".. Yess.. of course you do. Pricks!

This is another problem of SISU's making - bled the team dry so they aren't raising the revenues they need to pay the rent (which is probably not that unreasonable).
SISU are a bunch of fast buck merchants that have no concept of running a football club. Think their main reason for buying in to it was they thought they would be able to get hold of the stadium at a knock down rate.
