About time, too; don't know if this will be a national campaign - hope so

"Farmers are being warned they will be prosecuted if they leave mud on the roads after three accidents in Herefordshire."

Good !
How can they continually get away with leaving so much shit in the road ?
They must know it it is at least detrimental, more likely a danger to other road users

I agree!

But how come the ocal Authority can say "We don't grid side roads" even when they've been told that certain roads are very icy and have already caused accidents? That's what happens in Dorset.

I know they can't grit every road but there are some that are minor by classification but are actually used as a main route.
