Enough,----It's a scientific fact RED is faster :smt003 That's because red light has a lower frequency than blue light, that is why it appears the first colour in the rainbow, if you had a gun with different colour bullets the red one would hit the target first :smt016

Hi fastasfcuk, looks like we are organising a meet with the replies.
HowardQ, DavShill & loafersmate, seem interested.
How about the first Sunday in March, at the Barge Newark (weather permitting) around midday.
Also a meet thread has been started, so might get others interested if we post on there.
This is only a first attempt at a meet so open to change.

..... except I think that both of you are ignoring an inescapable FACT ..... you ride along minding your own business, a Red light is observed and all of the traffic comes to a Grinding Halt.
Red, far from being a colour of speed, is the colour of the absence of speed - in much the same way that the "colour" black is the absence of light.

Another point to consider is that nobody is interested in winning a Red medal .... just Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Unfortunately, apart from a few bits and pieces like forks and brake calipers, gold is just too showy .... so we'll ignore that one.

Silver - well rather than a colour, it's an excellent reflector - so should be ruled out as something reflecting the glory of other colours rather than having any merit of its own.

What that leaves us with is Bronze. Merit for achievement of excellent performance. What's more, the Bronze Falcos are the ones that come with Gold forks - Gold being the colour of the medal designating the fastest - but with the Bronze Falco, just enough Gold to mark the achievement and not too much to be too OTT.
I do take on board some of what has been said about the Black Falcos .... but plain black is a little limited unless it has been 'performance approved' by combination with Bronze and Gold .... as per the Falco colour scheeme.

Sadly, some people's Falcos are just not all they are cracked up to be:
Tweaker wrote:If Black is the absence of colour then it follows that no colour=less weight=BLACK IS FASTEST: QED! End of argument; so all those with heavier colours just quit whinging and live with it!
.... no colour = no light emitted of any frequency .... which may be OK for bikes that do not have modifications to run all lights at the same time coupled with retina-burning HID conversions. With all that extra illumination, this particular Falco must be an absolute dog!

What does your bike colour say about you? :smt017

This is an based on research carried out in this country :smt030

That research showed that black motorcycles are twice as likely to be involved in crashes as cream-coloured motorcycles.

-Black motorcycles denote an aggressive personality or someone who's an outsider or rebel.
- Silver motorcycles indicate someone who's cool, calm and slightly aloof.
- Green motorcycles can often be chosen by people with hysterical tendencies.
- Yellow motorcycles signify someone who is idealistic and novelty loving.
- Blue motorcycles are chosen by the more introspective, reflective and cautious driver.
-Gray motorcycles represent those who are calm, sober and dedicated to their work.
- Red motorcycles denote those who are full of zest, energy and drive and who talk, think and move quickly
- Pink motorcycles are chosen by gentle, loving and affectionate drivers.
- White motorcycles represent status-seeking extrovert drivers.
- Cream motorcycles are the least likely to be involved in accidents and denote self-contained and controlled owners.

As you can see only red ones Move quickly
I Thank you :smt031 the truth will out!!!!!!!!!!!

... presumably as there are so few cream-coloured motorcycles on the road .... has that colour even been used since the 1960s ??
