my question to them
hi this is for an Aprilia Falco (SL1000) NORMALLY has a ytx14bs battery I think but as I understand it this is the correct Motobatt equivalent with more CCA for cold starts could you please confirm that for me

their reply

Hi, according to the list I have this isn't the correct battery. It's slightly smaller in size (around 20mm) and a lower Ah - 10.5 although our reference list isn't always spot on.Unfortunately it's already left us now so I can't physically swap it over for you sorry.Let us know when it arrives with you (should be tomorrow or Friday) and if you want to return it to us for an exchange we can arrange a collection for just £5.50Sorry about that.

happy enough with the reply etc nbut given what you all kindly advised have I bought the right bloody one :smt017 :smt017

probably not

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Well there's not much to go on fact-wise as the data isn't there but their reply to you suggests it's not equivalent to a YTZ14 as the capacity is too low (no idea if the CCA is similar)

The best battery we've found is the YTX14H-BS ... as said previously
