Well I suspect that the reason we get this "man flu" jibe so often is the amount of people who moan about having flu when all they really have is a cold or chest infection or headache or sore throat etc.....

When you have flu you won't be running around telling people - you'll be in bed .

trooo but manflu is when well peeps who dont generally moan aboot their health (often men) get ill and it hits them harder :(

Man flu is recognised as a serious illness. It is known to happen mainly on Mondays and when important local football matches are palyed. Its particularly contagious after public holidays like Xmas and Easter. The symptoms are an inability to get out of bed, a spinning head , vomitting, and a need for re-hydration.

But scientific studies have long established that it is a far more painful illness than female period pain or childbirth though this is often disguised by natural male stoicism.
