I should also add that your postcount on this site of 45, doesn't exactly mean that you are a frequent contributor on this forum me thinks! :smt008

What are you talking about?? I said "Not like this site, we'll take anyone and will welcome anyone, even your infrequent Ozzy ass" so where in there am I telling you to f**k off and not come back? Sweet Lord, if your that easily offended you'd better get your parents to pre-read any posts before you see 'em. I was simply stating a fact with a friendly wink at the end. Very, very strange. It's usually me who misinterprits things but I guess there's more than one. What I'd also say is that if you rest your case so easily then you've simply capitulated just like Ozzy's in the One Dayers.....:smt117........Ashes Schmashes

I'm hearin yah but it's over four times your count and that's enough for me. Shall we play the who's got the biggest game? If you'd kept your infrequent Ozzy ass up to date we actually moved. My post count on the previous incarnation was up around 340, which for a married bloke with kids, new business, mortgage, dog, car, bike, guitar, etc etc oh yeah, and at least some semblance of a life :smt006 I don't think is too bad. I also like to get out of the house for more than 5 mins a day. :smt003

By the way, what does "PITA" mean? Me no speak da lingo......

Wooooaaaah

(In best scouser accent) Calm Down, Calm Down ! (back to normal accent)

Time for a truce here before I become the heavy moderator (ok I AM heavy and I AM a moderator .... but I hope you know what I mean).

I'm all for people having their say and all for free speech but we are not going to be having a war on here that starts to put off other members or casual visitors to this forum - maybe we're not there yet but there is a bud to be nipped!

You have both got some valid points but it is getting a bit agressive .....

My view on AF1 ....
It's served me well since I got my Falco and, over that time, I've probably learned even more from that site than I have from the ARS.
My post count over there used to substantially exceed the combined total of here and the old ARS - but that has changed.
IMHO, the AF1 is (sadly) not the forum it once was. That does not mean it's crap but it seems to have lost a number of contributors and is increasingly dominated by a number of people who appear to prefer to talk to others within their particular circle. There is still good information given out there and if you ask for advice you almost always get help.
On the other hand, if you express opinion in a debate and you don't belong to a particular circle, it often seems to be ignored. That may be perception - but I think there is a factual basis.
Now I don't think this is deliberate - just that people pick up better on things said by people they know well. However, if you are not within the circle it can feel like you are being blanked. Although I've felt this myself, I've recently had an excellent PM dialogue with someone on AF1 - helping each other out with advice on some mods - so I don't think that there is any individual animosity.

As for ARS ... well, in the past I don't think it had the life of AF1 but now, for me, it seems to have stepped up a gear with a lot more (active) members and even a lot of the 'old guard' seem to be posting more frequently. In my view it is now the better forum .... but that's from my view of the world. There are more people on here that I know .... but is it that I'm an "insider" here which, maybe, mirrors the complaint about AF1 ....

I hope BOTH forums continue with strength ... and I'll hazzard a guess that we ALL do.
I particularly want this forum to continue to be a good, helpful, informative and welcoming forum.

I've got a lot of time for both of you TN & Ex and have valued what both of you have said over the time I've been part of these forums.
So let's stop comparing the relative size of our post counts (or whatever else you're measuring), cut through the crap and get on with helping each other out and having a good time online.
:smt008

Finaly... Info:

For TN: PITA = Pain In The Arse (please don't let my explanation start things off again)

For Ex: Renegade pulled their sponsorship and are nothing to do with the forum now. So please feel free to drop by as often as you like without feeling that you are endorsing Jorge and his products .... we are now Renegade Neutral.

Well as the "other" heavy moderator. I was going to put my point of view forward as well, but D-Rider has spoken for both of us as I agree 100% with his post above. :smt023

BTW I have also found my visits to the AF1 site less and less frequent over the last few months but there is still a huge wealth of info, help & advice always on tap. I don't agree with a lot of what is said or some of their points but I just choose not to comment.

Surely I'm not the only one on here who's actually prepared to speak his mind and say what they really think? i.e. without any of the 'no after you' British fair play bollocks?.....D-Rider I know where your coming from but you've jumped in too early, nothing out of order was said and a little banter never did anyone any harm......Sometimes things just need to be played out to be sorted out. There was no malice in anything I said I was simply having a bit of a play.

Better not put me down for any of the rideouts this year, I reckon one way or another I've pissed everyone on here off at least once....... :smt002

I dont believe you lot..

2 pages.. TWO PAGES!!!

Bloody amateurs.. Gio'dve taken it to six pages, People would have insulted Mothers, Sisters, Brothers, sexuality AND the colour of your bike, by page 6 you'd have forgotten the original cause of disagreement and would be ripping MCN to shreds over their coverage of the club racing scene. Trust me, it's happened before!!

:smt005

ExDN. Sorry to hear of your unfortunate happenings with Powermaster and his firm. They no longer maintain sponsorship of ARS, so please do feel free to comment as you wish about any products from any manufacturer you wish.. (Same goes for everyone)
