Cos if we are doing these sorts of jobs in stead of the police I would prefer to fly the helicopter on run around chasing other bikes on the unmarked Busa and let the wife stay at home!

Howard, I agree with everything you have said in your later post, but (and it is a cautious "But") you are now talking about the politics of Policing which is out of the hands of the normal street Bobby and a lack of training.
It is an unfortunate fact that unlike in my day when we Policed by consent and we had the power of discretion, now it is all to do with KPI's and target figures rather than targetting the issues that need to be addressed
It is better to arrive 30 seconds late in this world than 30 years early in the next

No words can express the loss.
Sounds familiar although in my case the courts screwed up and the driver still walks free with his license in tact even though proved over the limit.....
