Er, yeah, sorry Howard, I was a bit flippant with my answer. I'm glad to hear you weren't hurt as a result of that loose flag.

As I said .....................

Obviously serious, but but still a joke!

Thanks anyway mate!

Obviously, having a laugh all the way through, but the bloody flag could have been wrapped around my helmet when I was going bloody quick!
Would have been less of a laugh then.

So you all constantly knock Scotland's patriotism, which IS for life and ermmm not entirely due to sport? A Flag is for life, not just for Football.... so true in our case :smt003

i would fly the flag of st george all year round - i do follow the football, and do get passionate about it - but i do not decorate my car etc....

oh - i am also patriotic but do view myself as english, not british - and NEVER as euro bloody pean!

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Indeed.

It's carrier bags round our way, if it's windy and youre riding near the landfill site, often you'll see carrier bags floating in the air hunting for a victim.

Like when exactly?

Yes we have a bit of friendly banter at the dwellers of Jockland (and other places ... and other places in England) but I really can't ever remember a knocking of Scottish patriotism.

If you believe that any of us have, then please, reveal your knockers!

Er... NO.

It will only come out right once fully revealed!

I fly my St Georges cross all year round. I'd have a flag pole in the front garden if it wasn't for the telephone lines. The best thing about the world cup is the amount of St George merchandise there is. Flags, bunting, towels, beer mugs, hats, clothing and countless other items. It's great!

I've got a flag on me cage, it's been up for months now. People have said to me "The World Cup hasn't started yet".. To which they get the reply of "The flag is for life, not just for football" (saw that phrase on a car bumper sticker.. tis catchy..lol..)

I'll be following the world cup too though mind. Like Andy said.. It's rare for England to unite under a common cause.. Shame it's for football, not England itself. :smt001

And as for the Jocks.. Let them have their own parliament away from Westminster and go it alone.. We'll see how long it is before they're on their knees, cap in hand at the doors of England's treasury..
For the record, i've got nothing against Scotland or it's people. I've holidayed there on many occasions, my brother lives there and my sister-in-law is a Scott.. Very nice people once the ice is broken. :smt002
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

I see our postman has one flying from the front of his Royal Mail van today.
Nice to see, if a bit incongruous. :smt001
