Anyway, I'll be blogging daily on the training and hopefully building up a decent idea of what you can expect if you too decide that two wheels is the way forward.

Incidentally - just filled out the TFL survey for motorcyclists in bus lanes. As Paul Hood says here, it takes two seconds. I can guarantee those bitter hordes of cyclists will be mobilising all sorts of chicanery to skew the results. I can't corroborate those rumours that a New Delhi call centre has been briefed to file thousands of anti-motorcycling complaints. But this is the kind of thing you're up against. Do your bit and fill in the survey now.
