It’s worth checking, too, with the manufacturer that a factory-fit limiter can be derestricted. For example, Citroen’s own optional speed limiter for the Relay (at either 56mph or 62mph) is set for life.

Thanks Samray. Saw that one about 1/2 hour ago but it, hopefully, only applies to the new Relay and this heap has an aftermarket version fitted.

Would check it out for myself but I'm just as likely to rip out the washer bottle and stand there with a look of smug triumph on me face
