Retired from a long biking career last October & at the mo I don't miss it at all.

Stick with it Laz!
I went down the road just before Christmas, when a car pulled out in front of me, first real off in 42 years. Fortunately the Falco was not written off, mainly plastics and other bits that will cost me a grand or so to replace. New Frank Thomas winter jacket a bit chewed up. As for me? Badly bruised all down RHS, some knee damage (take a few months to clear up) plus damaged tendons/muscle in my right arm/shoulder, (again take a few months to clear up, and still bloody hurts!!).
Couldn't imagine what I do without a bike, luckily have an old CBR1000F and it was brilliant to get out for a decent run on that last weekend after 5 weeks or so off a bike. Strange thing was my right arm felt much better on the bike than when driving the car! :smt002
Bikes are a bit like a drug for me, if I've not been on one for a few weeks I'm like the proverbial "Bear with a sore arse" to use an old Yorkshire phase.
Stick with it mate, but ride more defensively and perhaps slow down a bit, I never managed the last one!
